Citizenship

Full citizenship of the Free Republic of Campfira. Requirements, the Examination, and the Affirmation.

Citizenship is the highest tier of membership in the Republic. Citizens hold the full constitutional rights of the Republic: to vote, to stand for office, and to be heard in the Assembly.

Requirements

To apply for Citizenship, a Resident must:

  • Have held the Resident tier for at least twelve months.
  • Be sponsored by two existing Citizens, each verified by their Citizen Identity Number.
  • Have passed the Citizenship Examination.
  • Submit the Citizen Affirmation of 250–500 words, in their own words, affirming their commitment to the Republic and to its values.
  • Be of good standing, with no open complaint before the Court of Arbitration.

Sponsors

This section will describe the responsibilities a sponsor takes on, how sponsorship is recorded, and grounds for withdrawal. Content under development.

The Examination

The Examination tests knowledge of the Constitution, the Basic Laws, the structure of Government, and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

The Citizenship Examination is not yet implemented. While it is being developed, the application form treats this requirement as administratively satisfied. The Ministry will publish the Examination ahead of any contested vote.

The Affirmation

This section will describe the form, length, and review of the Affirmation. Content under development.

After admission

This section will describe what changes on admission to Citizenship: voting eligibility, the right to stand, fee changes, and registration in the Citizens' Roll. Content under development.
